New Branch of Medicine touted to be a hidden movement and is gaining prominence across the world - 1

Even though Functional Medicine has been touted as a hidden movement, the pace at which it has moved over the years indicates that there is not much support and the mainstream medical community have not accepted it completely and neither the big pharmaceuticals have shown any interest in it and the reason for this is there is no money in it for them continuously as conventional medicine otherwise it would have become the sought after medicine in this modern technology world as it would cure instead of just treatment.  One reason for this is that our society, governments, education system have already feed this information to us that since childhood that conventional medicine is the only best choice out there for any medical condition and anything that go against conventional medicine belief is treated prehistoric practices and which does not have any scientific proof to back it up.


Though we have got the Functional Medicine started up long time ago, in spite of not recognizing that the main contributor of this idea comes from traditional medicine or the alternative as we call it, still it is not too late if we can bring this Functional Medicine focus on cause spear head a movement that will going forward cure many an autoimmune disease or cancer that is purportedly not curable by conventional medicine.  As the saying goes, it is never too late to start again.  Hope better sense prevail for the betterment of human race and continue not to take advantage or make money out of human sufferings.

Yesterday, I wrote about how medical fraternity or conventional medicine physicians across the globe have come together and formed a branch of medicine called the Functional Medicine.  Though the conventional doctors have touted it as a hidden movement sweeping across the globe and the focus of which will be to find the cause and treat the cause and not the symptoms as is the current scenario all over the world, what all of you do not understand is that this idea has been borrowed from the Alternative Medicines which since centuries back have been only treating the cause and not symptoms unlike modern medicine.  Good to know that at least conventional medicine physicians have come to realize now that they need to forge ahead with the focus on finding the cause for the ailments.  What could be the reason behind such a movement, could it be because conventional medicine physicians are also human being, they too have their family, relatives and friends who are down with incurable disease and cancers, could it be that their near and dear ones have lost their life and till now they were afraid or whatever be the cause, could not forge ahead this idea of finding the cause because they were afraid to stand up against the big pharmaceuticals and FDA and other government authorities, whatever be the reason, it is never too late for those of us who are suffering now.  But borrowing idea from alternative medicine and not giving credit where it is due is not warranted but all the same at least there is a start to alleviate the sufferings of the people and that too when in modern times the autoimmune disease and cancers are increasing by leaps and bonds.  Some of the best alternative medicines since ages have been treating and curing people with the focus only on cause.

This Functional Medicine branch could have been started more than 100 years back, do you think the physicians back then did not know this, the reason why this approach was not taken was only greed, greed and only greed by the big pharmaceuticals and doctors alike who would not allow such an idea to progress since there is no continuous money into their cash box for them if patients are cured.  If you google, you will find that even then many a doctors went against these big pharmaceuticals and FDA and government agencies and did their own treatment and even cured though it was against the law and many were even jailed and stopped from practicing medicine because big pharmaceuticals had FDA and other regulatory agencies under their influence to ensure that no one has a different line of thought of curing the patients and thus minimizing their profits.  Hence now I understand why many pharmaceutical companies do not support the idea of Functional Medicine and whether they will pump in the money required for the research which is need of the hour to ensure that the Functional Medicine approach does not die down for want of funds for research and development.

Various causes for inflammation in your body - 4

Poor Sleep: When you have poor sleep, means that you have a habit of getting up at night or those with insomnia, the inflammatory cytokines are secreted at a much higher rate in these people than those who have deep sleep and do not get up till morning.  As all of you know that during sleep, the body regenerates and the immune system calms down.  Lack of restorative sleep is a major promoter of inflammation.  So remember that adequate sleep and that too deep sleep is very important and if you do not have deep sleep it means that there is inflammation in your body.

Nutrient Deficiencies: As earlier mentioned your body needs real nutrients and when it does not get real nutrients then there is going to be nutrient deficiencies which normally will have a negative impact on the body.  One of which is vitamin D, though vitamin D is got from sun, a deficiency in getting enough vitamin D can not only result in chronic inflammation but can also cause depression, decreased immunity and a number of different autoimmune disease.  The other is Vitamin B, especially B6 and B12.  If you are not getting enough vitamin b, this can also cause inflammation.
Environment Toxins and Free Radicals: There are also a number of environmental toxins that results in unwarranted inflammation.  From the polluted air to various air fresheners in vehicle and household, household cleaners, plastics that we use on a daily basis, there are many different toxins and free radicals floating around that can quickly lead to inflammation and when you are subjected to these toxins for a long period of time, the end result is chronic inflammation.

You need to remember that many of causes above will have some other cause also, one needs to find the cause of the inflammation and cure it, that is what the alternative medicines should do and does. 

You might be glad to know that off late the medical fraternity or conventional medicine, that too a minuscule proportion of physicians, medical bodies have starting to realize that the need is to locate the cause like all alternative medicines have been doing since ancient times but they are calling it 'functional medicines', so here we go a new branch of medical treatment, old wine in a new bottle. But conventional medicines is where the money comes in ringing for the medical fraternity or conventional and pharmaceuticals, so do not expect the big pharmaceuticals to release their hold so easily.

Excess weight of body: Your body needs only food that it can convert into energy.  When you eat more than what your body requires, it will either try to expel it from the body and if that process is hindered due to any reasons,  it will save it somewhere in some form to use it later when in needed hence when you go on binge eating, eating more than required every day, unhealthy food, and if you do not exercise or if you are aging and your metabolism process in the body is reducing, excess will be stored somewhere in the body on a daily basis and the fat cells in your body begins to bulge and when they bulge the fat cells starts sending signal to your immune system for help and naturally the immune system responds to the alarm, by going to that inflamed cells to help slow down the inflammation and cure but remain unsuccessful, thus over time the inflammation can make healthy cells resistant to insulin, the hormone that regulates blood sugar which in turn leads to diabetes.  When you overeating on high sugar, high carb, high fat foods, what you are actually doing is just feeding your inflammation risks.  Studies have also found that inflammation markers tend to be significantly increased just three hours after eating high-glycemic foods like baked potatoes, waffles and others.

Various causes for inflammation in your body - 2

Real Nutrients:  You have to realize that when you are down with chronic inflammation, it means that one of the cause could also be because our body is starving for want of real nutrients.  Yes, you may be eating a lot of food which you think is good but as mentioned, most of those what you eat contains if it contains preservatives, added color, and chemicals, carcinogens it provide no real nutrients but only harm your body, so real nutrients is what you require to keep away chronic inflammation and that can be obtained only from organic food from fresh and leafy vegetables, fruits, raw nuts and seeds, healthy fats like avocado, coconut, olive oil, grass-fed meets, wild-caught fish, sprouted grains, goji berries, raw honey and quinoa apart from many other organic food.  Even the milk that you think is healthy is not at all healthy when it is pasteurized and homogenized(I will come to this subject in a later episode), if you are drinking milk it should be from grass-fed cow which is very healthy.  You are not giving your body these food which it yearns. 

We need to avoid white bread, processed food, conventional dairy products, processed drinks and sodas, fried foods, fast food, wheat products, starchy product made from corn or potatoes, refined sugary foods, processed meat, barbeque meat, pork and go for organic foods mentioned above, and then see the difference in your health, do not expect the difference in 1 or 2 weeks after continuous organic food, it will take months to get in the feel good, look good mood and for you to enjoy vibrant health.  So you have to give your body real food with real nutrients, micronutrients, vitamins and minerals.

So like I said if you eat processed food, at the time of eating your taste buds will like it very much and want more, and that is only due to the added chemical flavors and colors added to it, and your body has no option but to accept it but then it cannot do much.  You will not notice the negative symptoms right away, negative symptoms will be known only after a long time, your body in the beginning will try its best to absorb whatever nutrients is there in the processed food which is next to nothing at the same time you body’s immune system will be fighting the foreign substance in the processed unhealthy food, assuming it to be foreign invaders and thus body suffers, inflammation starts to set in, as you go on eating such unhealthy food, the, the inflammation becomes chronic and then starts the cycle which finally ends in autoimmune diseases and in many cases cancer.

Some of the reasons for chronic inflammation are given below so that we can take preventive steps even at this stage and see whether we can undo the harm that has been caused that made our body go into an inflammation mode, though it is not an easy step, we need to try.  Remember everything is possible, even cure for cancer is possible, and there is proof all over the world, but we should believe in it:

Body is overtaxed:  Although our body can process a surprising number of toxins, as we age, as lifestyle, diet changes, the body has to handle twice or thrice the amount of toxins that was handled previously.  May be your grandmother didn’t have to deal with 50% of the new chemicals that you have to handle today, there are more chemicals in our environment than ever before, from our food, beauty product, the air, whatever you take in hand there is chemicals and also the thought and buried emotional package that we carry through mindset.  Due to all these your immune system is exhausted and overworked.  There are many food that your body is not made to absorb or digest like gluten, wheat, refined sugar, chemicals, additives, artificial color, processed foods, naturally all these triggers the body’s immune response and bring the inflammatory cells to fight and trying to clear it and in the process a continuous attack which we call as chronic inflammation happens.  In other cases, in the process of such immune response, continuously attacking the foreign matters, without success makes the immune system transform, mutate and thus a never ending chronic inflammation from which there is no end.


Stress: I would say stress is one of the top reasons that contributes to chronic inflammation in the body.  Stress plays a big role in our health.  Most of us are always in a state of stress for various reasons and Cortisol, the main stress hormone, is considered as one of the primary factor in the connection between stress and disease.  Although, small amount of cortisol is helpful during a fight or flight scenario, triggering adrenaline and helping us in sudden unexpected situations.  Continuous stress causing large amount of cortisol can slowly wear down our systems and cause big problems.  Remember when you are in a stressed state continuously which is what we all are, energy is directed away from the immune system, digestive system and other important areas and hence when this energy is taken away due to chronic stress, the body becomes weaker and more inflamed.

Various causes for inflammation in your body

Modern society, though technologically advanced in most areas including medicine, pharmaceutical companies are not making the effort to find the cause of chronic inflammation process which is the start of almost all the incurable disease in this world, main reason being that there is no profit in it for the big pharmaceuticals, what they want is continuous profit ringing in their cash boxes otherwise you just think why would the big pharmaceutical companies all over the world are able to make medicines that can only treat a person continuously to subdue the symptoms yet not able to make a medicine that will cure, with deep pockets and full of money it is not impossible to drive the research focus on to a cure.  Almost all the incurable disease in the world, big pharmaceuticals are able to bring out medicines for treatment not for curing the disease, which means that you need to take the medicines your entire life and what does this convey, it conveys only profit, profit and only profit continuously ringing in for big pharmaceuticals.

It is clear that all incurable disease starts with an inflammation, though the general theory is about the invaders like bacteria, viruses entering our body and the immune system attacking the invaders is well established but what keeps them in a chronic inflammation stage to do damage is what needs to be researched but theories are doing the round as to what keeps them in a chronic inflammation stage, one of the theory is that immune system gets faulty and deploys unnecessary immune attack and second theory is that after the attack by immune system against invaders, the immune system hangs around at the injury site unnecessarily may be due to a faulty signal for a long time thus creating chronic inflammation and finally culminating into irreversible disease, another third theory is during the attack by the immune system at the site of injury, chemical reactions from other neighboring distressed cells also reason for chronic inflammation.  

You have to remember that at any point of time, due to the modern lifestyle, the immune system is protecting the body from multiple invaders at the same time in different parts of the body and could be that cross connection, open wound inside or other chemical reaction could be a factor giving rise to chronic inflammation.

Genetically modified ‘Arctic’ apples that never go brown hitting supermarket shelves in US – No, this does not gel well for our health

Before we continue on to the subject of inflammation, let me tell you that we do not have control over what are made in this world by others, take for example the case of ‘genetically modified Arctic apples’ that is in the news recently and in the markets in US that does not go brown because it has been genetically modified but what you need to realize is does it gel good for our health at large, with cases of cancer patients going up by leaps and bond by the usage of such genetically modified food in the past and still being used by the population.  We need to remember though we cannot control the production of such genetically modified apples, it is up to us whether to eat it or not provided, the producer of such genetically modified apples do not try to use the law of the land to hide fact by not disclosing that it is genetically modified apples so that those of us who want to avoid such GM Food can take an informed decision.

God made human and also provided for humans all the things that humans require, fruits from trees, fish from seas and so on so it is very clear to understand why there is a need for genetically modified apples or in that case any other GM modified food except for profit, profit and only profit and in this the government agency are also normally involved and in spite of the opposition from many a quarters, the power vested on the respective agency, in this case the US Department of Agriculture is the cause for such unhealthy food entering the market and playing with human life, the effect of eating such genetically modified apple might not be known immediately but over the months and years and what these producers are taking advantage of is that no proof can be put on record that the cause of your cancer is due to eating such and such fruit or food over the years.

The US Department of Agriculture ruled, in February, 2015, that the apple posed no significant health and environmental risks but what we need to ask is on what basis they have ruled that they do not have proof that there is no significant health risk, this and other questions that are given below needs to be answered to the satisfaction of majority of the population who should decided not the elected representative, and all those people out there with auto immune and others with incurable disease should strongly take this up with all their respective Governments in the world, because it is not only US that is going this way but all those elected Government agency with the help of greedy people out there who want to mint profit out of the sufferings of the people and this is a worldwide scenario.

Questions that you need to ask is:
Can they provide proof that can be investigated and irrefutable that after repeated eating this genetically modified apple daily, still the person is free from any disease.
Have they done test on human who have eaten this genetically modified apple continuously daily for more than 1 to 5 year?
Was the human on whom this test been done, free of any disease, common cold, inflammation, etc,prior to this test.  Is there proof of this?

I doubt whether they will provide the above 3 proof.  The day we realize that we need to go back to the basics, you will know that illness or even cancer is nothing but human made.

More about signs and symptoms of Inflammation

You need to know that there are many signs and symptoms of inflammation in your body that will be manifested to you some way or the other, some of them are given below:

Constant fatigue, high blood pressure, ulcers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), bloating, gas, diarrhea or constipation, itchy ears or eyes, high blood glucose levels, throat irritation, inflamed looking skin, food cravings, binge eating, joint pain, stiffness, weight gain, your skin is red and blotchy, you have allergies, puffy face, puffy bags under your eyes, gum disease, depressed, anxious, brain fog amongst many others.

Clinical assessment is the only way to determine for sure if you suffer from inflammation but remember that even the hs-CRP test is not foolproof as also other tests, it can also give you a negative due to various factors, hence going for repeat test if the symptoms persists is utmost important.

Incurable disease like Cancer, Lupus Erythematosus, Alzheimer’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS), Schizophrenia, Arthritis and 100s of other disease, starts with inflammation or have one thing in common that is inflammation which goes on to become chronic and finally reach the above final stage of incurable disease.

You need to always remember that pain is not always a bad.  It reminds us that we are alive, it lets us know we are given a chance to make the pain go away.  It is like a warning light in your automobile, it tells you that something is not well with our body and often times the pain is a manifestation of something very serious going on in your body and this is the way of your body to let us know so that the situation can be taken care of immediately.  So once you know you have to do something, you will act, in some cases you have to act fast.

Never let the symptoms make you sad and hopeless, you just have to keep on trying to get well and trying until you succeed.  Remember recognizing symptoms of inflammation is the first step to healing.

Research has proved that Vitamin D role in fighting inflammation cannot be undermined.  It is important to note that Vitamin D’s anti-inflammatory affect in human have long been suspected.  Even a small amount of Vitamin D lowers inflammation by a large percentage.  It has also been found that many a patients are profoundly deficient in Vitamin D.  Vitamin D deficiency has been associated with numerous illness with inflammatory components such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune illness and thus gains importance of maintaining a normal level of Vitamin D.  Hs C-Reactive Protein is elevated when there is acute or chronic inflammation and it has been observed and tested and proved that people who take in Vitamin D reduces HS CRP automatically, this does not mean that the cause of the inflammation is cured, the cause remains but cooling down the inflammation keeps them from doing more damage to the organs that is affected.

What is allergy and the cause of Allergy?

We need to know that at the core of our immune system is the ability of our body to differentiate between self and non-self.  An allergy occurs when your body’s immune system sees a certain substance as harmful though it might be a harmless substance such as pollen or dust.   The immune system reacts by causing an allergic reaction.  Substances that cause allergic reactions are called allergens.  This attack by the immune system on the harmless substance is called allergy.  For example, some people have dust allergy while some have pollen allergy.  Before we go further we need to know what are antibody.  Antibody is a blood protein produced in response to and counteracting a specific antigen (a toxin or other foreign substances).  During production by the immune system, in cases where the antibodies react to non-threatening proteins, such as those found in pollens, then allergy results.  In people with such allergies, what happens is that the immune system mistakenly identifies the particular allergen as an invader and begins to create antibodies against it.  These antibodies, called the IgE, attach themselves to mast cells (mast cells are "master regulators" of the immune system. They come from bone marrow and go into all tissues of the body. Each mast cell contains secretory granules (storage sacs), each containing powerful biologically active molecules called mediators), which are abundant under the surface of the skin and in the nose, eyes, lungs and gastrointestinal tract.  When the allergen is encountered, the IgE antibodies grab it, triggering the mast cells to release powerful chemicals including histamine.  This causes the allergic reaction.  A reaction often occurs within minutes or up to a few hours after contact and may lead to many different symptoms.


In a sense, allergy can be thought of as one extreme on a spectrum and autoimmune disorders the other extreme on a spectrum.  Health is thus a balance between the two where the immune response is always appropriate and controlled.  If anything goes out of sync then we have one illness after another, a never ending cycle of illness.

Now take for example, Hypothyroidism, the onset of Hypothyroidism is preceded by lots of symptoms as mentioned which include irritability for no reason, moody, angry, weepy, heavy periods, low sex drive, gaining or losing weight, hair fall and many more, which an average person will not even come to know of it, getting angry and irritable and this is a cause of many a break ups, why because both the patient and the spouse were not aware of the symptoms and chemical reactions that happens when your thyroid does not function properly, it could be due to many factor, it could be due to auto immune condition but the fact remains that these are normally ignored due to lack of knowledge and awareness.  Some people even go to the extent of removing the thyroid without knowing that your body is just giving you a symptom through the thyroid that something is wrong but you on the expert suggestion of your doctor, just remove the thyroid, thus making you dependent on thyroid medicine for your entire life.

Inflammation of your large intestine causes cramps, diarrhea and later on other non-curable diseases

Also, chronic inflammation is the cause of DNA damage and thus mutation and leads to cancer, gives rise to a variety of modern day disease unknown to humankind in the pre historic era.



Believe it or not, one of the contributing factor to all the above is Greed, greed and only greed.

Like I mentioned, if you want to reduce or treat inflammation or even any auto immune disease, it is inevitable that you change your lifestyle whatever anyone may say, it may be an authority like the FDA or any top health authority who may say that their research has not come to a conclusion that lifestyle change has shown to cure the symptoms or disease.  If you cannot do this basic and important life style change and continue with it till your symptoms associated with the auto immune disease is not reduced then not even the best medicine can help you alleviate your sufferings.

What you need to understand is that if your immune system mistakenly triggers a chronic inflammation response process , this is the start of many a conditions like asthma, allergies, and then to autoimmune disease, heart disease, cancer and various other disease, depending on which organ is inflamed.

Healthy Weight: Another way to reduce inflammation is keeping your weight under control, not being overweight, being overweight will result in far greater production of inflammatory chemicals in your body.  If you base your diet on the diet mentioned in earlier episode, you will find it easier to maintain weight.  You need to ensure that you eat only that much that is required by your body, eat when you are hungry, not go on gorging on food as and when you see it, not eating in between lunch and dinner, eating slowly, chewing your food properly, ensure that you are not stressed out since stress takes a toll on health and is one of the cause for inflammation.

Natural way of reducing inflammation, you need to go for this, irrespective of the outcome

Diet:  Believe it or not, the modern day diet is one of the major culprit in creating inflammation in our body.  The food that you eat daily can either be nourishing or a combination of both nourishing and harmful, why because say for example, meat is good, it provides protein but when you barbeque it at a high temperature, it causes chemicals called heterocyclinc amines and polycyclinic aromatic hydrocarbons to form which are carcinogens that cause changes in your DNA and that is what leads to cancer when you continuously eat it for years and years.  So in order to reduce inflammation, first of all you need to change your diet, go on a diet that is completely organic, eat organic fruits and vegetables, exercise depending on age, reduce sugar, cheese, wheat, artificial additives, preserved food, coffee, fast food, burger, pizzas, butter, mayonnaise, alcohol and lots of such labelled food.  Also, you are used to certain type of diet in your daily life so immediately switching over to another diet may create minor issues including withdrawal symptoms since your body is taking a completely new diet after years and years of eating junk food.  I know this is easier said than done but it can be done if you really want to minimize chronic inflammation in your body, which is the main cause and start of any serious illness which are incurable.  While going on these diet, you can even take the help of nutritional doctors, who can guide you so that after the diet change nutritional deficiencies does not arise due to the switch over.  Now I have come across lots of people who say that they have gone on paleo diet or such and such diet which has been claimed as a perfect diet but there is no improvement to my condition.  I agree, that many of you will not see any improvement to the condition, but remember that it took years and years of eating junk food to reach this stage of chronic inflammation so naturally you cannot expect the reversal within 1 month, 3 month or even a year.  It will take its own time, but you need to stick to this diet irrespective of any improvement whether you like it or not, if you want to see some progress and relief or your inflammation condition.  This is the first step to healing process.

Inflammation is actually good in small dozes but chronic inflammation needs to be investigated

Once their work is done in healing the effected parts, your inflammatory cells retreat and your immune system begins to relax again and your inflammation subsides, this is what should always happen, yes sometimes it takes longer period of time to heal the effected parts, that also is understandable.

Remember, your inflammatory cells do not always retreat, sometimes they keep attacking the tissue and thus your immune system remains in a state of constant stimulation, resulting in chronic inflammation.  The worrisome part is that you do not even come to know sometimes because most of the times there is no symptoms or indications to you if something is wrong inside the body until it has reached the chronic stage where you go again and again to the doctor.  The doctor may go in for hsCRP and other test to check for any inflammation in the body and try to find the cause of it.  Conventional doctors will prescribe medicine to subdue the inflammation and this may even make your symptoms of pain or visible symptoms go away for as long as you take the medicine or afterwards.  In case the symptoms of inflammation is still there, the goal is to provide medicine to reduce the pain, that is anti-inflammatory medicines and do lots of other tests in order to find the cause but most of the time, the cause is not known.  But if you identify what’s triggering your immune system to go on the attack, you can treat and even reverse chronic inflammation but such true cases are very rare but not impossible.  In modern medicine, the goal is to relieve the symptoms and it is rightly said that modern medicines only cure the symptoms but the CAUSE is the reason why autoimmune cases is increasing by leaps and bounds in recent years for which in spite of umpteen researches there are no cause cure in modern medicine for chronic diseases arthritis, hypothyroidism, psoriasis, and this is in spite of the fact that in most of the advanced countries, electronic record are maintained from the time a patient is brought to a hospital and those records are passed on to hospitals of that locality where the patients migrate to unlike earlier prehistoric period.

If you are diagnosed with auto immune disease, stop eating all processed foods, sugar, most carbohydrates, stop alcohol, fast food, beverages, cheese laden food and various other lifestyle food that are the main cause for modern day disease.  Stop taking stress, easier said than done but it will have to be done if you need relief.

Understanding what is inflammation and why it is required

Inflammation is a vital part of the body’s immune response to protect itself.  It is the body’s attempt to heal itself after an injury, repair damaged tissue and remove harmful stimuli and heal the area completely.

Without inflammation, the wound fester and infections could become deadly.  Inflammation is characterized by redness, swelling, warmth and most of the time pain in that area and sometimes immobility.  When you accidently strike your toe against something and injure yourself, the immune process starts, biochemical process release proteins called cytokines as ‘emergency signals’ that bring in your body’s immune cells, hormones and nutrients to fix the problem.  Arteries, dilate, blood flow increases to that area and capillaries become more permeable so that the white blood cells, nutrients and hormones can move into the spaces between the injured areas to help heal the body.  Hormones called prostaglandins create blood clots to try to heal the damaged tissue and remove them when healing is finished, they also trigger pain and fever as part of the heal process.  Swelling happens because fluid accompanies the white blood cells.  The fluid diffuses into the area and causes the swelling that can cause increased pressure to nerve endings and thus pain.

We need to know that Inflammation in the body are of two types, Acute and Chronic Inflammation, sometimes also called systemic inflammation.  Acute inflammation arises after a cut or scrape in the skin like the above case, it is short term and the effects subside after a few days.  Chronic Inflammation is long term and occurs in wear and tear conditions, including osteoarthritis, autoimmune disease such as hypothyroidism, psoriasis, asthma and many others.

Remember that inflammation is a necessity for the body to heal itself at the same time too little inflammation could lead to progressive tissue destruction by the invaders and allow the survival of the invaders.  In contrast, chronic inflammation may lead to a host of other disease over a period of time.


Also remember that Inflammation does not mean infection, even when an infection cause inflammation, infection is caused by bacterium virus or fungi, while inflammation is the body’s response to such infection.
