What
causes Multiple Sclerosis(MS): The cause of
many a auto immune disease is a mystery in modern times and even studies comes
up with various variations to the causes even after decades of studies but we
can confidently say that MS is not due to one cause due to
multiple causes that come together and cause Multiple Sclerosis. Studies have also
found that some people get MS after they have had a viral infection like the
Epstein-Barr virus or human herpes virus which makes their immune system stop
work normally. The infection may trigger
the disease or cause relapses. Though
scientists have been studying what causes MS, they do not have a clear answer
but one thing is clear that one of the causes of MS is due to inflammation, but
what causes inflammation is still unknown and this is the case with all the
auto immune diseases. Like said when
the immune system goes rogue, they start attacking the body parts unknowingly
or unable to make out whether that is foreign parts or own body parts and when
it starts then there is no stopping until it gets cleared to immune system that
it is a body part.
Medical science has even come to the
conclusion that one of the cause MS could be due to low level of Vitamin D and low
level of Vitamin D have been found to be more common in countries further away
from the equator where sunlight is less but that might be one of the cause
because there will be less Vitamin D produced by the body due to not having
sufficient sunlight but like said there will be combination of causes for MS. Studies have also found out that MS is not
directly inherited from parent to child, there is no single gene that causes
it. Over 100 genes might affect your
chances of getting MS. Studies have also
come to a conclusion that one of the cause of MS could be your lifestyle and
that one factor should not be ignored and the main ingredients that make up MS
could be in your day to day food or environment, the daily environment that you
assume could do you no harm like the harmless air freshener in office, house,
or car.
